On February 4, Chengdu announced its plan to simplify the process of obtaining work permits for foreigners coming to China during this particular period. Under the new process, those seeking work permit can apply online for approval along with a declaration to submit all relevant documents truthfully.
Until the coronavirus outbreak has eased, the entire process of work permit application will be processed online and the employer can print relevant materials through the system after approval. In case of foreigners whose work permit notices were approved but work got canceled, the employer may apply for cancellation of the work permit. Applicants can get their work permit via express mail. If it is necessary to go to the site for handling, please cooperate with the operator and wear masks for personal protection.
